November/December 2009 - New Moon Alpacas moves from California (agisting at two ranches) to Washington to their own ranch of just under 10 acres. The property is located in Elma, 26 miles west of Olympia, WA. The alpaca herd arrives December 5th.

February 2009 -- Lion Edge Technology of Colorado offers Ranch Manager software designed specifically for camelids. The new software is available for Windows and Mac OS X, with a pocket edition available to sync with your PDA.

January 2008 - Two new cria were born New Year's Day between 9 and 10 a.m. First was a female (Maidenly Minx of New Moon) to Pandora of Saturn. Second was a male Suri (Sequoia of New Moon) to Charmane.

December 2007 -- Updated the New Moon Alpaca web site, including a new design for the Females and Herdsires pages, along with the front page to the web site. Linked the photos of each alpaca to their respective page on AlpacaNation. The AlpacaNation pages contain additional information, such as copies of the ARI certificates, fiber histograms, and other data.

May and June 2007 -- Two new cria arrived, the first cria to Hannah of Redwood Ridge (a female, name NMA's Rowan) and the fourth cria to SCFA Pixie Dust (a female, named Caridwen of NMA). Both cria are from our four-year-old herdsire, Bartleby, his second and third female crias this year.

January and February 2007 -- Three cria have arrived, Permafrost (Frosty) to Charmane (Jan. 5th), NMA's Polychrome (Polly) to Pandora of Saturn (Jan. 10th), and Condor's Fire Dancer (Dancer) to Tillman's Bubbly (Feb. 17th).

December 17, 2006 -- Uploaded an updated design for the New Moon Alpacas web site.

October 26, 2006 -- Miss Aurora B delivered her third fourth cria, another little boy, today.

October 21, 2006 -- We lost our first cria this morning, less than a day after her birth. The cria was four week premature and was born to our youngest pregnant dam, Queen of the Elves.

October 6-9, 2006 -- Our second trip north to AlpacaMania at Central Point, Oregon. We showed three alpacas, two fleece, and four fiber arts products.

September 22-24, 2006 -- Our first presence at the Monterey Pronk. We had five alpacas (four males and one female) to the show, along with three fleece, and four fiber arts products.

June 3, 2006 -- Pixie Dust (our first alpaca) had her third cria this morning about 10 a.m. The cria was 19.1 lbs, healthy, and immediately nursing. This young male (he will be named Remington's Last Hurrah! in honor of his sire, Remington of Redwoodridge, who was the first cria of SA Kerrington and SA Inca Pearl) is true black.

April 8 - 9, 2006 -- The first annual California Classic Alpaca Show was held in Pleasanton, CA at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. New Moon Alpacas was present with two pens -- two maiden females and three males -- for the halter show. Those five alpacas earned the following awards:
